Band Camp Is On June 1st
Welcome to the last week of school Jaguars!
My fellow beginning band students, Band Camp WILL take place and the first week is June 1st.
This year is going to be different because it's taking place online everyday through camera.
Everyone is invited to join, and this will help you much more to learn how to play your instrument.
Hopefully I see everyone on June 1st, and yes, you do need your instrument for this.
If you return your instrument, you can still rent it back.
Due:
Review for the Past Month
This week is a review just in case some of you miss a week or two.
While watching the video, if you understand that concept to be able to read music, you may skip to the next video.
Apply what we are reviewing to your music paper.
Due:
Rests in Music
Rest in music is as important as playing the music notes in your instrument.
We did not talk about rest much in class, but it is this weeks lesson.
Learn, remember, and practice rest by watching the videos and practicing the 3 songs we have.
Have a awesome week and remember to stay safe!
Due:
Rhythm
Understanding rhythm is a crucial and important part of playing in any professional setting. If you can count and play any rhythm pattern provided, you are halfway there to being part of the District's Marching Band.
How to count and play any rhythm? This weeks lesson and videos will give you an insight on how to count rhythms.
Due:
Assignment
This week's topic is rhythm!
Your are going to play basic rhythms in your instrument provided to you in the word document.
Practice in your house to avoid forgetting all we have learned throughout the school year.
Have a safe week everyone!
