Students will then read chapter one of the story " The Snake Watcher" Students will then answer questions in order to fill out the graphic organizer to make inferences.

Activity: Students will complete math problems 1-7 in math lesson 36.

 

Activity: Students will do page 74 of their practice book. Then they will read the second chapter of the story " The Snake Watcher". and fill out the Inferences chart by answering each question.

Activity: Students will do Lesson 36 problems 8 to 14

 

Activity: Students will log in to clever to access achieve 3000 and read the passage "Cumbia Brings Culture", then they will answer the comprehension questions.

Activity: Students will continue working on lesson 36 on problems from 15 to 21.

Activity: Students will write one paragraph explaining the life cycle of a snake. They will use their planning page and write their final copy.

 

Today, Wednesday March 25, 2020 students will read the passage " Watching Snakes" and complete the inferences web. Students will draw an inference chart on a piece of paper like on page 114 (picture) In order to fill out the chart students will respond to these questions:

1. Read paragraph one and answer this question Why would Joe watch TV shows about snakes? write your answer on the chart. (Mrs. Tovar has done this one for you) (picture) 

2. Read paragraph two and answer this question: Why does the snake begins to rattle its tail? write your answer on the chart. 

3. Read paragraph three and answer this question: Why does Joe want a snake for a pet? write your answer 

 

After you finish reading the passage Watching Snakes and fill out the inference chart. Complete the practice book pg 71 about Digraphs ch and tch. 

 

Math: To review some of the lesson 35 please complete the worksheets Counting Money (picture) and Naming Fractions. 

 

Writing: Read the article "All About Ants". After, reading this article they will answer the question provided. Only answer this question, do not answer the other questions. 
How might being strong help ants build and protect their colony? Give an example.

 

 

Reading: 

During reading students will categorize their spelling words. They will also re read the passage Watching Snakes. They will review their vocabulary words and definitions and write a six click sentence in past tense using their vocabulary word. Students will also practice for 20 min in Smarty Ants. 

 

Math: 

Students will complete page 38 math problems 1-8. 

 

Writing:

Students will write one paragraph explaining the life cycle of an ant. Please do not forget to do your draft first and then your final copy. 

 

Students will read the passage from practice book page 72 with expression. Then students will re read the passage All About Ants to answer the comprehension questions. Students will practice using Smarty Ants for 20 min.

 

Students will complete practice book page 37 problems. 1-5.
